Property Edit: Kitchen & Dining

It's the last place everyone ends up at every party and the first place the kids descend when they get home from school and the most used rooms in any property - the kitchen & dining.

Being the heart of the house why not make it the most stunning!

We recently had the pleasure of photographing this beautifully designed kitchen in Alex Headlands. We love, love, love the paired back retro / coastal vibe that is completely finessed and oozes sophistication.

This chef’s kitchen features all European appliances, Aquarela Quartzite stone bench tops to die for and a tap directly above the gas cooker to fill up your pots and pans on the stove - genius!

While the large butlers pantry compliments the kitchen well, the gorgeous rounded banquet seating gives the space a cosy and homely feel.

Shooting:

While this was a large space to shoot we made sure to pay particular attention to capturing the details of the unique stone work, unusual pendant and giving the property an editorial style feel. Shooting slightly over the top of the kitchen bench towards the dining connects the 2 spaces nicely, we recommend this for large spaces - it doesn’t always work in living zones that are too close together.

Editing:

In keeping with the finessed editorial style feel we have kept our edit a little desaturated and this particular kitchen / dining lent itself to a late afternoon shoot & edit rather than a dusk feel.
